I adopted a dog today from the West San Fernando Valley’s Animal Control Shelter.  Hercules is a small chihuahua who needed a good home.  What made today’s adoption extraordinary was that an anonymous lady paid for ALL pet adoptions in the San Fernando Valley today.  She left her credit card and wanted to give back to her community.

I have been lucky enough to take in several good movies lately.  Slumdog Millionaire is one of them.  If you have time, definitely see this movie!  It’s very well done and you will leave feeling great!

I highly recommend Werner Herzog’s documentary Encounters at the End of the World.  He visited scientists working at the South Pole in Antarctica and made a great movie.   It’s just as good as Grizzly Man, another great one.  Herzog’s narration is beautiful and very moving.  Check it out.  It’s worth a rental.
